RECAP: Dubai

I only had three days in Dubai but I squeezed in as much as I could. Here are a few ideas if you’re planning your own itinerary to the United Arab Emirates.

Dubai Mall Culture

Dubai is known for its excess, and the city’s largest malls flaunt this reputation — there’s an aquarium and ice skating rink, plus EVERY chain restaurant you can think of.

Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Subway… would you recognize these popular brands in Arabic? I photographed a bunch of logos from malls in Dubai and put together a little quiz.

Water Park Fun at Atlantis Resort, Dubai

I feel like a little kid while exploring Atlantis Resort, Dubai — there is fun in every direction! I float on the lazy river and even plunge down a water slide through a pool of sharks.

Bird’s Eye View of Dubai

Dubai is a vast city with lots to see and do, so I opt for a day-long Big Bus Tour to glimpse all the neighborhoods and areas I don’t have time to properly visit.

Expense Report: Dubai

It cost me a whopping $650 to visit Dubai for three days. Sure, I got to see and do a lot of cool things here, but was the price tag worth it?
