Endeavor(ing) To Capture the Shuttle With My Shutter

Say that three times fast.

Last Friday the space shuttle Endeavor circled over Los Angeles en route to LAX, where it will then travel on October 12th through surface streets to its new home at the California Science Center.

Everyone at my work place sojourned to the roof (which is special in itself since people don’t go up there very often) and we waited for the shuttle together. I loved the communal aspect of sharing this with colleagues from various departments in the company with whom I otherwise wouldn’t interact. We made small talk over our shared anticipation of the shuttle flyover and then moved as a group to different corners of the roof as the shuttle looped back over the city, snapping our iPhones or cameras the whole while. The excitement was palpable as we witnessed this historic occasion.

Enjoy the photos!
