Snorkeling with Sharks, Sea Lions, and Sea Turtles in the Galapagos

Yesterday I shared a portion of my photos of Galapagos undersea life. Welcome to round two!

Today’s images are all about the larger-than-fish-sized creatures… think sea lions, sea turtles, and SHARKS.

We are able to swim so close to these guys in open water. It’s a memory I won’t soon forget.

The sea lions aren’t afraid of us AT ALL. They zoom all over.

I finally see my first shark on Bartolome Island. Surprising no one, I chase it with my camera.

While these photos aren’t the best, I was able to get great video footage that I’ll share tomorrow.

These sea lions literally dance around us as though they are starring in an underwater ballet.

I encounter sea turtles on my last day of snorkeling in Isabela Island. I am thrilled to see them up close.
