If you heard about “cool pancake rocks” and were skeptical about their sightseeing value, I can verify that they are indeed cool. Our Stray bus driver did not lead us astray.

We are en route from Abel Tasman to the small town of Blackball when our driver pulls over and gives us 30 minutes to walk the path.

When the waves are big enough, there’s a blowhole just in front of this viewing platform.

Not bad for a roadside attraction.

Now onwards to Blackball. A town where, as our driver tells us, “The only virgins are the girls who can outrun their brothers.” Yikes!
